Exotic Flora.Co.Za is owned and run by Stephen van Belkum Eades who is a qualified Fashion Designer and his partner Howard Eades who is a Gemologist.

All plants are propagated by them by either seed, cuttings or by tissue culture.

Plants are only sold to the public when they are well rooted and hardened off.

Plants like Gingers, Heliconias are sold by root division due to their massive size.

We have also found that by planting the root stock with no leaves the plant acclimatizes to its new enviroment quicker.

We have a Plant Tissue Culture (Micro-propagation) Lab where Howard does Orchids, Anthuriums, Philodendrons etc from both seed and meristem cell  division.

Once a year, normally beginning of November we host The South Coast Orchid and Exotic Plant Fair at Stephward Estate Country House in Uvongo where we have growers of rare plants coming from all over South Africa to sell . A date not to be missed!
